Introduction -
I’m a freelance photographer based in the northeast of England and I’m currently carrying out a number of long running local projects for Durham County Council as well as undertaking work on event coverage for Players Inc Event Management, GM2 Projects, The Labour Party commissioned photodocumentaries and PR stills for the band The Longsands.
I personally prefer to take a laid back and unconventional approach to photography without the hassle of posed, formal and staged managed shots. These I feel give out an un-natural, bland and sterile final image.
I want to capture the good and bad of life just as simply and as soon as it happens.
What will I shoot? Basically Singe Vert Photography will photograph just about anything and everything in my own unique, off the cuff, odd, random, artistic, gritty way. I have a passion for detailed macro shots of the mundane everyday objects of life. Small things that the human interest fails to register, there is so much artistic beauty from dirty, worn, small insignificant or broken everyday objects.
Singe Vert likes to photograph things as he sees them with no photoshopping or alterations being undertaken other than a slight change in tone or contrast to add to the ambient mood of the occasion.
I have a number of years experience as a photographer and have provided a first class service for a wide range of top market clients and worked with a selection of 'big faces' from the world of football, boxing, cricket, music, entertainment as well as the gangster genre.
I have also been accredited with an NCFE qualification in digital imaging which was awarded by Newcastle College in 2009 and have attended a number of photograph work shops. Other than this I am a self taught photographer.
For over a year now I have also been providing a fast, efficient, professional and friendly event meet and greet photography service which has helped raise invaluable funds for The NSPCC and The Stroke Association.
